With so many months of studying and prayers...I PASSED nclex! Thank you God! I still can't believe it! What a wonderful feeling! I kept on reading and re-reading the letter from CA BON that says I've passed the NCLEX-RN exam! I studied Saunder's and did so many Q&A's probably around 1,500 and did the Kaplan Q Trainer. My advice for those nclex takers:
1. Study the golden book Saunders from cover to cover and practice questions everyday.
2. Dont stress yourself and when you feel like nauseous of studying, take a break, and dont ever force yourself to study.
3. Know your most active hours of studying like for me my active hours is in the afternoons and evenings. I studied for the minimum of 1 hour and maximum of 4 hours.
4. Make a calendar and use it to monitor your progress.
5. Divide study and leisure time. Remember the phrase "all work and no play makes a dull mind."
6. Use motivational words to boost your confidence, I have this words posted on my desk "I'll lose only if i don't prepare hard enough" and from the bible "What things so ever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them- Mark 11:24"
7. Surround yourself with positive people who encourages you and cheers you to go on
8. Two weeks before your exam do the kaplan Q trainer. I got scores of 50's 60's and got 71% on trainer 7.
9. The day on your exam: Charge!!!! and slay the nclex beast! hehehe
10. Finally prayer really works! I went to mass the day before my exam and did the novena to st. jude.
Now all i need is the SSN. Aside from the letter of passing, where else can i confirm that i passed the NCLEX? I just wanted to be sure hehehe Goodluck to everyone! Fight! Fight! Fight!
im taking mine early next year have tons of time to prepare...i still cant hit an 85% with my practice tests..i average on 70% the highest iv gotten is a 79%...im so far away from my goal...im still on my phase 1 (content reading + practice tests)...
thank you for caring :redbeathe
Hey your scores are not too bad at all!! I've got some 60% on the cardio and neuro stuff. I kept reading and re-reading those subjects until I got 80%. So persistence really pays off! IMO, you're going to pass this exam!
Congratulations to you. I am happy for you. What encouragement your post has given me. I really like the scriptures that help when you feel that it may not work. The positive attitude and statements help with reinforcing one's strengths. Thank you.
Glad to help :) forgot to mention earlier, there's this another verse from the bible that I whispered to God to guide me in my exam about HIS promise:
James 1:5-6 "If any one of you lacks wisdom, he should pray to God, who will give it to him; because God gives generously and graciously to all. But when you pray, you must BELIEVE and not doubt at all"
Hope this helps future R.N.!
