Must take FCCA before CPNE eligble

Published

I just reviewed my updated status report making sure my grade for info lit was posted, and it indicated that I must complete 2 parts of the FCCA prior to applying for the CPNE. Has anyone notice this on their status report sheet. I am sched. to take my last nsg exam the 30th of this month, and was looking forward to submitting my app. on the 1st of October. I am not upset, but was looking forward to submitting my app. so that I could atleast get a date before April 2009(looking for a March date). Thanks for letting me vent. I'll do what they are requiring me to do, I've come this far, so I will push forward.

Mine says that too.......but I was told that the FCCA does not have a release date as of yet. I was told that if the FCCA is released before you do the CPNE, you must do the FCCA first. If not, then you do the CPNE then the FCCA or a substitute.

Ok, I was alittle disappointed when I seen that notation in the records. I also heard that we could still apply for cpne as well, but when I read that line I thought I had to take that first before placing my app. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Dawn my Student status report said this May 27th. That was the last one I got.If yours says something else then maybe they have gotten them ready

***FCCA Eligibility:

You will be eligible for the FCCA when you have successfully completed all required nursing theory examinations and are within ten semester hours of completing the general education component***(Kim, you have become CPNE eligible since we do not yet have the FCCA up and running. You will bypass this requirement for now. Once it is available you will need to complete the FCCA to meet your graduation requirements.)

Thanks Kim, I just got an email from Valerie Bucci, and she stated the same thing. I had not seen that statement before, and got scared, because I have seen some who have posted re: getting the FCCA in pencil and paper form. But no worries, I'm back on track. Thanks Kim and all my fellow classmates for keeping me straight. You guys are the best and I truly appreciate you.
