Nursing Students School Programs

Hello all,

I Just wanted to know if anyone applied to MUSC for fall 2017, I applied and frankly I am a bit nervous. Also, I would like to hear any experience from the spring 2017 folks.

Thank you

navynurse83, it looks like you have a great shot. Your stats sounds amazing! Are you military as well?

The essay was really hard for me as well. It was really hard to write all I wanted to write in 100 words, but hopefully it's ok, I'm just super anxious. All the best to everyone!

No, I work as a civilian for the Department of Defense Navy Branch.

Did you all apply to multiple programs? Or is MUSC your top choice?

Musc was my top choice

Same! I applied to one other program just as a backup but have been considering re-applying for MUSC's spring semester no matter what if MUSC doesn't accept me for the fall. Since I'm from Charleston and ultimately want to work in the hospital it just would be amazing to be apart of their program!!!

Hi guys! I will be joining everyone as we wait several more weeks.

I am from California with a 3.39 GPA without calculating any of my prereqs yet. I did all my prereqs at a community college. Grades are 75% of MUSC's decision making; however, the average GPA accepted is a 3.4 GPA. So I have some hope. hehehe.

My gpa is around the same, I have hope too lol. Do you have any experience? And what made you choose MUSC?

YAY, we could have hope together. haha.

I have been a certified nursing attendant for the last two year. I work at a nursing home (part-time) and hospital (full-time). Additionally, I volunteered at two different hospitals, with a total of 300 hours. How long have you been a EMT?

MUSC is ranked as a top nursing school and the application seemed pretty simple, so I just applied. I am applying to several other schools as well, so I could become a RN asap.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

I have been an EMT for 5 years. I was a certified nurses assistant before that but I never actually held a job in that field, I went through the training and then the practical portion. I also have an associates in science but I wasn't able to complete any of my finals one semester and that brought my gpa all the way down, so I'm seriously hoping our gpa is good enough.

Wow, that is very good experience!!

Just know that in 5 years, we are all going to be RNs regardless of which school we attended. :)

Has anyone received any information from the program?? I was reading precious years feeds and some were say they were getting financial aid info around now.
