Just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to the cohort starting in 2020 for the Medical University of South Carolina CRNA program...reaching out to anyone who plans to apply.
Yes I cast a wide net this year with hopes I'll catch something. I applied to several programs, but so far have had an interview at Oakland University, Bryan, LSU, and then one at Barry next month. It looks like interviews are done for Rush, so that's a wash, as well as for Arizona and UTHSC. I received an alternate for Bryan in Nebraska which I'm very excited about but nothing definite yet which still makes me really nervous. I'm still looking forward to hearing back from OHSU, KPSA, Emory and MUSC about an interview. It still blows my mind how competitive these programs iare

You applied to a lot of places! That’s great! I hope you hear back soon and good luck with Bryan. I was alternative at TCU and got in so there’s hope.

When you arrive you will take a 25 question test that is very similar to the CCRN. After that you go into a conference room where 4 faculty (program director, APD included) and 1 student will interview you and ask you 4 standardized questions. They do not try to trick you. They are straight forward and non-clinical based. The entire interview is 20 minutes long. You have an opportunity to ask them questions at the end. That's it!
My cohort is 26 students.

Thank you so much for your response!! This helps so much. ? Do you remember when you found out about getting an interview? How much ICU experience did you have? Again, thank you SO much for sharing!!

Sure! I got my interview invitation on Nov 8, 2018, but I have no idea what their schedule is this year. I had 1 year of ICU experience when I applied. I had an MSN and CCRN though. I know they really like CCRN and high acuity ICU experience.
