MUSC Accelerated BSN

Does anyone know if this is a good program? I'm thinking about applying for it for Fall '08, but I don't know anyone who has gone to the school. I would love to know anything from quality of faculty to design of the program to how difficult it is to get accepted. Do most people who start the program graduate? Does anyone work during the program? Really anything would be very appreciated!

omg. I didn't get anything regarding financial aid. Did either of you ask for it, or did it just come? I don't want to read anything into this but it makes me nervous! I have a 4.0 and two years experience working as a tech in a hospital so I haven't been really worried until now!

It stated in the email that the receipt of the financial aid email is in no way to be interpreted as an acceptance to the program-- so don't freak out! :]

I think there was a box on the application that asked if you were interested in financial aid & that is probably why we received the email.

With a 4.0, I think you stand a very good chance!

I'm currently at Charleston Southern University. Are you applying to tech's program also?

Well, I have good news and I have bad news... The good news is that no one has been accepted or denied acceptance yet. The bad news is that we won't hear until mid-March!! I called today on an unrelated issue with my transcript and thought I'd throw it out there... She said that they are doing preliminary reviewing now, but still awaiting supporting documentation and such. Therefore, they will not actually go to a committee until the beginning of March.

Ack! 6 more weeks!! I could die!

Also, I was under the impression that all supporting documents had to be submitted by the deadline? Geeeeez!

PS Just to let you all know how desperately anxious I am, I actually asked my 5 year old daughter if she thought I would get in today. She said no!! The cheeky buggar!

Trident Tech got my back if I don't get in at MUSC because I will start the program over there for this coming fall 2011

I know... me too. That's why I asked. I said, "so should we still expect to hear around mid Feb?" And she said no. I'm pretty sure she said they were still collecting supporting docs, but either way- it was L.H. in admissions, so I'm sure it's accurate information. I don't know what I'm going to do for all this time. I thought 2 more weeks was bad enough!
