Hey, y’all!
My name is Garrett, and I was informed this week that I was accepted into MUSCs ABSN program for Fall 2020! I found myself on this blog and saw that no one had created a thread for the incoming fall 2020 semester, so I thought I would make one lol.
I am coming from NC with a BS in Public Health from UNCW. Looking forward to getting to meet everyone!
Hi @CamEver. Congratulations. I haven’t seen a FB group for our cohort yet. I think one needs to be created. @AndreaSkoog looking forward to meeting you!

Hi Garrett! Congrats on your acceptance! Small world because I also go to UNCW and will hopefully be applying this fall for MUSC's Fall 2021 cohort! Would you mind sharing your stats? Thanks!!

Hey! Super small world! Good luck on your application, if you have any questions please let me know!
Here are my stats:
Major: Public Health/Community Health Education
GPA: 3.8 cumulative, 4.0 pre-req**
** I am not sure if you have taken A&P yet, but I took the EXS version at UNCW and it was accepted by all the schools that I applied to.
Research: Biostatistics, Tobacco, HIV, and 3D Modeling of Macromolecules
Leadership: President of multiple clubs and an SI leader
Volunteer: Brunswick county community health and Meals on Wheels
Internship: 3 total. One at an outpatient clinic. One at a hospital in Fayetteville. And one with UNCW CHHS.
I was actually accepted to Duke's ABSN program for Fall 2020, so I will not be attending MUSC anymore ?. I have heard nothing but great things about MUSC - and all of the staff there are phenomenal to work with regarding application questions. Again, good luck! If you have any questions at all regarding MUSC or any other ABSN program, please let me know! Maybe we can meet up on campus sometime before I graduate.

WOW!! Congrats on your acceptance to Duke and thanks for sharing your stats! It definitely puts things into perspective with what schools are looking for and what makes a competitive applicant. Hopefully we can meet up sometime before the semester ends because I have lots of questions haha! Best of luck the rest of your time here at UNCW and at Duke this Fall!! (But, Go Heels)

For the Estimated Cost if Attendance, is it cheaper to start in spring? I’m kind of confused , because the website says starting in the fall is more expensive. I’m assuming that spring and fall are the same number of terms as well
