I've been around this site for a few years, but have been pretty busy lately and have not posted much due to school! lol I live in Ontario, Canada and I am a Practical Nursing student.
For my assignment, I have a set of questions that I need answered by someone from another ethnic background than myself (good old canadian eh;) ). It would only take a few minutes of your time and I would be forever grateful! I also realize that some information is extremely personal, and if you prefer you can PM me with your reply. I would love to hear from more than 1 person, but I will take what I can get!
Below are the questions:
1) Identify your ethnic background and geographic origin.
2) Tell me a little about your cultural heritage.
3) What are your beliefs about health and well being? Do you have any specific beliefs about illness?
4) What alternative health care practices do you or your family use?
5) What resources might you need if hospitalized? eg: interpretation
6) Do you or your family members have any religious or dietary practices that would need to be respected if hospitalized or in a long term care facility?
7) What educational programs or clinics do you or your family member use in the community? eg: ESL, parenting support
I truly appreciate your time and effort in helping me with this assignment.
