Published

I wanted to start this because I didn't see one yet! This is for Mt. SAC in Walnut, CA!

how are we doing points wise?

Thats really strange, before the TEAS exam the instructor said only ~140 moved onto testing but about 40 didn't respond......

The counselor told me they invited 200 to take the TEAS ?‍♀️

Maybe they just don't want to give exact numbers to keep us on our toes bcus she also said they aren't allowed to give any numbers

I hope that's the case. ??

Yeah I think they just have like rough numbers bc my counselor kept saying that the nursing department knew more or like exact numbers & counselors weren't allowed to tell us ?

That is so interesting. My counselor did not know how many prospective candidates there were. Maybe she does but didn't want to say. Does anyone here have a really low TEAS score, but high points? I surely was not prepared for not having a calculator ?‍♀️

I have 77 points, I scored pretty low on the TEAS (~10% less than I did on my first attempt with a calculator) my counselor said no guarantees obviously, but that my points make me a competitive candidate.

Honestly, I think that as long as you have ~65 points and up, you have a really good chance of getting in. The rest is all on luck and trusting the universe is working in your favor! Good luck to all! We got this!!

Thank you for the reminder and encouragement. This really is out of our hands now. We've done our part.

I scored a 78% on my TEAS just two weeks prior. 91% in the math which really carried me. I barely passed my TEAS at My Sac. My points are still 85, but at this point we are all equally being thrown into a pot.

Are they selecting 60 students through lottery again or is it 60 top scoring students. I know they did lottery initially to select students to take the TEAS.

It's a lottery again. She said they chose 20 alternates too.

I'm pretty sure it's highest points and lottery
