Hey everyone,
Starting this forum as I'm applying to the Spring 2025 term at Mt. SAC for their ADN program and as a way to keep each other updated. #mtsac #ADN #mtsanantoniocollege

Hi! Started studying for the TEAS taking the course offered by mt sac. Is this your first time applying, anyone know what a competitive point value is ?

This is my first time applying to the Mt. SAC ADN program. They say the top candidates will skip the TEAS exam and lottery process. Not sure what their point cutoff is for that though. From previous forums it seems like 78 and above is good enough for a TEAS invitation but they say that depends on each year's applicants.

I don't think you get to skip the TEAS but the highest scores will automatically be invited to the TEAS

This is the updated guidelines for the upcoming cohort from Mt. SAC's website.
"Establish Applicants Pool. Top scoring applicants will bypass the lottery (number will vary with each application pool).
Establish Lottery Pool. Two methods to place applicants into the Lottery Pool:
Determine a cut score from the multicriteria screening process. For example, if 70% is the cut score, all applicants who meet 70% of the cut score will be placed in the Lottery Pool.
Or
Select the top 250 applicants, and place them in the Lottery Pool
Randomly select 150 to180 students from the Lottery Pool.
Have these 150 to180 students take the California Community Colleges Chancellor's office required admission/readiness exam."
Not too sure what this means exactly, but you're right I'm assuming the top scoring applicants after taking the TEAS will bypass the lottery pool.
