Good afternoon everyone. I am reaching out to potential students that are trying to get into the mtsac ADN program for fall 2020. I am applying with 76 points. Hoping it enough but we’ll see. I’ve applied before but unfortunately did not get in. Hope to hear from some of you.

If the nursing program is temporarily paused, then the students who were supposed to graduate this semester probably will not graduate. That means if they do accept a new cohort of students for the Fall semester, there just might not be enough clinical sites and staff to accommodate large number of students. I have thought about it yesterday and for that reason I believe that as much we don't want it to happen, they might indeed accept us no sooner than Spring.

They accept 48 students in a year
24 for RN program in fall
12 LVN and 12 regular students for Spring
I'm not sure if anyone is still active in the discussion board but if so, does anyone know what are the next steps going forward in the program? I know we are waiting to hear from the counselors to reschedule our appointments but do any of you know if we are going to be competing against a new cohort of students since the semester isn't going to start until Spring 2021?

I just copied it from nursing website,
Nursing Application
Due to the current pandemic, the application filing period for July 1 to September 1 has been placed on hold. Please check the website periodically for updates.
I don't think we will be competing against new group of people(:
LOL I literally felt like I was the only one still active in this group chat!
I have emailed Billie Lynes, director of the nursing program, asking about the updates and she said there was supposed to be email sent out to us on 7/7, but I told her that din't receive anything. She said Angie will forward it to me, still didn't receive it; bit I also assume I am no the only one who didn't receive it. I am also in touch with one good friend of mine who works in the nursing dep, and she promised to keep me posted if anything comes up.

Hello Rita:
Mrs. Billie Lynes asked me to share with you the last message we sent to the Fall 2020 applicants. We do apologize. Nothing was sent on July 7, we confused emails sent to enrollees.

LOL, I just haven't been on her lately since the pandemic. I'm hoping they start moving along with the application process ?

I received nothing, too. I think it is OK to let me wait for extra half year, but please let me know if I can get in or not first.

I get your frustration! But trust me there are things in life way more important and valuable than school. Make sure you use this extra time to examine your life, your heart and take advantage of every moment you have. We are not guaranteed long life or even control over our lives. This is the time for us to seek God and take a break from the everyday routine of life each one of us is used to. Times like this will pass, but they are also precious in that it is a unique opportunity to focus on that which matters most and reevaluate our priorities.
