MSU Denver ANO Program

Published

Hello All!

My name is Ashton and I am in the process of completing my prerequisites for MSU Denver's accelerated nursing program. I graduated from Metro in 2012 and went to graduate school for a semester for counseling and decided that nursing was for me! I just wanted to know from others what helps a person getting into this program?

I have my CNA and volunteer experience, but no healthcare experience. So far I am doing well in my pre-reqs, I think I may bust through three of them this summer so that I can apply for Jan 2014. I have three pre-reqs left.

Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated :)

I did! Where the heck is everybody?

Me too!! :)

I hope we got an answer soon!!

Hello,

I applied as well for this years cohort. I turned in my application last week after I took my hesia2 exam. Good luck to you all!

I just wishing to get an answer before Nov. So I can prepare my finance for tuition and cancel an interview that I have w/ DSN. Good luck to everyone too :)

Not sure if you'll get an answer that soon. I spoke with someone in the nursing department who seemed to think it would be mid to late November before we'd get answer. Let's hope it's sooner. I'm ready to know.

I applied for January 2015 start for TNO program. I'm taking patho and statistic this semester. They said if my application is on the top of the pool, they will email me at the beginning of October to let my instructors write the letter about my current grade. I don't know how, but they will send the instruction how to write the letter. After they get the letter from the instructors, they will send another letter to tell me if I'm officially accepted around November. I hope I will get the email from MSU this week. I never take any classes with MSU, so I won't get any point from that.:( Four point out of fifteen is a lot.

flyin999, we are discussing the ANO program. I would bet there's also a thread for the ANO program that you might find more helpful and applicable to your situation.

Hello,

I recently applied to the program for the spring 2015 start. When I called the department they informed me the notification date would be late October early November. I am also ready to know!!!

I also applied for the January 2015 cohort. I called the office last week and the person on the phone told me that they received some 300 applications this time around, that's A LOT.

Anyway, there is nothing to do now but wait. Good luck to everyone.

300 applications! Is that only for ANO?

I had only asked about ANO so I assumed that to be the case, but may be that was a total for both ANO and traditional. That would improve the ads a little I guess :-)

Wow that is a lot of applicants. The last three cohorts had 139-177 applicants with 48 receiving admission.
