Question for all you guys..I have my MSN and want to pursue my NP..how do I go about it? What kind of schooling am I looking at? RI and Ma RN license..nurse for 10 years..so confused..thanks

You will need to figure out what sort of NP you want to persue. There is your FNP which is your family nurse practitioner, PMHNP (psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner), Adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, and many more. Just Google "Post-Graduate MSN certificates" and it should give you a list of schools in your area that offer them and give you a description of each.

Im not the OP but im jw if lets say at the beginning of your nurse career you chose to be an NP but years later if you wanted to switch to PMHNP is it possible to switch later in life even if you had to go back to school?
