Hello, nurses
Just wanted to know, I was interested in getting my MSN, but was curious because my school offers the MSN in Leadership.
I was wonderring what can you do w/ a masters in leadership other than be a nursemanager, I work in the hospital setting now, I currently have my BSN,but don't see myself in a hospital setting 10 years from now.

Are you referring to the MSN/CNL (Clinical Nurse Leader)???
The MSN/CNL is a generalized master's specialty that provides both direct patient care and clinical leadership. It is a fairly new specialty.
Here is a very involved explanation of the duties of the CNL from the ACCN's website:

Hope this helped.
I am referring to the MSN with the focus on leadership, or the focus is on education.

I have an MSN in management and leadership. I finished it but then found I didn't like management so went back for a post-MSN adult healthCNS. This suited me better.
