I got my MSN in Nursing Leadership through Western Governor's University. I am about to start a new job as Director of Women's Services at a mid-size hospital. So, it has served me well.

Great to know! What's the cost like? How many credits for graduation. Average length of the program. Can I transfer credits? If so how many? Thanks so much for all your help.

The website has all those answers.

Look at the state universities in your state. I attended CSU Dominguez Hills in Los Angeles. I paid state tuition fees, which were very affordable. The regular classes were online, and we had to go to campus two or three times for an assessment class. We had to find our own clinical sites, which vary depending on which area you decide to concentrate on. It was a great experience for me.

Specializes in Vascular Access.

I agree with Carrie_RN. Look at your in-state universities. You will take advantage of lower resident tuition fees plus probably get a similar quality education as some of the schools listed above. I finished earning my MSN in Leadership this August and I'm now in to my 3rd week of a new job. While it is not my dream job or location, I still get to learn a ton that will benefit my future. I took an leadership job in quality/infection control. It's a huge area that offers various learning opportunities... YAY!
