U.S.A. Tennessee

Hello. I have tentatively been offered a position(nights) for a msha hospital. Also have an upcoming interview for a position(days) at a wellmont facility. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice as to which is better as far as pay, benefits, etc. msha position is pt with benefits. does anyone know if wellmont offers benefits to part timers.

Thanks for any input!

I was on the Wellmont Cardiac Step Down Unit in Kingsport and only stayed 3 weeks. They spoke poorly of the patients at the desk where visitors could hear, put the hard working RN's down right in front of their face. I got yelled at for going to the charge nurse and suggesting a patient go to ICU. The patient died before 7 pm. The comment that sticks in my head was, "He was just an old alcoholic." My father is an old alcoholic that does not drink any more and I nearly cried. Passive aggressive behavior was horrible. I transferred off that unit and I am on Med Surg now and the patient to nurse ratio is 8:1 and at MSHA it is 5:1. I start at MSHA Nov 2nd and I will let you know what it is like there. Hoping for much better!
