When my son was 2 he had an open sore that was MRSA. My 6 month old never suffered from MRSA despite the fact that I was changing both of them and had a 6 month old crawling all over his big brother. I hope this releaves some stress. I am not saying that your children can't get it, but I would just try to make sure everyone is washing hands and things like that.

My father in law ( who we have been living with for the past couple months) has a had a sore and very swollen elbow for about a week or more now. Dr thought it was gout. Today he came home saying it is MRSA. He does not have a rash or open wound. I have a 5 month old and a 2 year old. I am very nervous now because they are always in contact with him! He holds them , just a couple days ago my 2 year old shared crackers and dip with him.... We share a kitchen and bathroom, including hand towels! I am so nervous
I am hoping that you cannot catch it if the person who has it does not have an open wound????
