Staph can set up colonies in the body and remain. In fact quite a few of us probably have those colonies, I'm sure I do. It is indeed possible that he could have a MRSA infection again. It's worth checking into.

more probable is that he has what's known as a "dry socket". contact your dentist.

My sister had the same thing happened. The tooth was pulled, but she still had terrible pain a week later. It was a dry socket. She had to pack it daily. It still wouldn't heal. The dentist then had to go in and clean it out and stitched it close. No more problems.

There's a couple of great medical research pieces going on over seas for staph patients!

I've also updated my ORSA site, including a BLOG. The BLOG is a great outlet. I highly recommend journaling of some form!

If they cure this today, you will want a record of what it was like for your grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Think of all the people that lived through polio and our kids don't know what the word is! They think it's a game you play in the pool invented by a kid named Marco!

Just dropping this lnk to all the threads currently asking for MRSA info. Good Luck
