Moving to Tampa, FL

Hi Fam!

I a BSN-RN with over 6 years of experience as a nurse and 1.5 years experience working in a major hospital (med surg) in Houston, TX.   With so many things happening I was thinking about moving to Tampa, FL to be a little closer to family by the end of this year.  How much do nurses make working in Tampa, FL hospitals?

That would depend on how many years experience you have, and I'm not sure for 6 years.  I can tell you all the hospitals have been doing market adjustments to get nurses in the door and many are offering sign on bonuses. With 20+ years experience I make >$40/hr. I could switch hospitals and make more, but for the most part I'm happy where I am.
