I live on the upper west side and actually attended a nursing school in NJ. It was about a 40 min drive to class and 20-30 min drive to clinicals and it's reverse commute so not much traffic. I think the programs in the city are much better, but just wanted to let you know that you have a lot of options, but check out the wait times for each school---some are 2-3 years!!!! My husband has been offered a position in Manhattan, so it looks like we will be moving! I have been looking at several nursing school websites, but I have no idea where in New York these schools are. I know absolutely nothing about the geography of neighborhoods of New York. If I am going to be living in Manhattan, where are the closest nursing schools?? I dont want a long commute!
