Moving to NC, will FMC keep my NYC Pay

Hello Everyone

I work for FMC in Queens NY, however I know the salaries in NC are much lower in New York. Will FMC allow me to keep my FMC salarie. There was a PCT who move to Texas and she kept her same pay. I hope they do the same for me. I won't move until the end of the year. Does anyone know?

I would check with them - however, since salaries are location-dependent, I would doubt it.

Thank You very much, I'm hoping they let me keep the same salarie.

I don't know anything about FMC, but nursing salaries in NC are quite a bit lower than in NYC, and it's v. hard to imagine why a company, any company, would voluntarily pay a whole lot more than necessary to fill a nursing job -- esp. in the current economic circumstances. Good luck, though.

I understand what your saying but like I mention before, that someone left my job and move to Texas and she kept the same pay rate. Even Goverment jobs, such as Post Office let people relocate from NY and still keep there NY salarie. I'm just hoping its the same for NC.

I know the government DOESN"T let people keep the same pay - its based on COLA (cost of living allowance).

Davita used to when I worked with them years ago. We had a well paid tech from CA move to NC and kept it all! Let us all know what FMC does. They should and our area in NC needs RNs badly!
