You are moving to South Florida to get a job as a new graduate? We have so many nursing schools graduating nurses every year that i would be surprised if they hire a new grad from another State. But well it it's double if you try hard and long enough.
My recommendation its to look in States like Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, etc.
I would really love to live in West Palm Beach. I saw that Florida is desperate for nurses, but like many other states, they want experienced nurses. I have experience in personal care and serving. I was thinking maybe I could get a waitressing job while I look for a nursing job. Thoughts? There must be many places in West Palm Beach that will be hiring soon for the season. I really would love to move down there. I just need to get myself settled in. Unfortuntatly, I have very little networks down there. I know one person that will let me stay with them for a few months. I just graduated and am single. I may never get a chance like this again.

Florida being a desirable living location attracts many experienced nurses from across the country. The unemployment rate stands around 5% on WPB but as we know these numbers no longer reflect the true situation of employment in the USA. The real number its more likely higher than that. Even though it shouldn't be impossible to find a retail or service job, why would you want to waste your time and hard learned skills in a profession that its not the one you studied for. You said yourself that you are single, so now its the best time to go and check those States that I mentioned before where there are more opportunities for a new grad. Go there, get the experience and then you can think about moving to Florida, where for the moment the new grad market its saturated. The final decision its for you to make.

Hello everyone!
I am a New Graduate RN with my BSN from Boston looking to relocate to West Palm Beach Area. How is the job market is in that region for new graduates? Or nurses in general? Thoughts about the hospitals in that region? Any information or tips would be greatly appreciated!
This is going to be a big move and i have no family in the area, so i need to figure things out before i pick up my life and move 1,000 miles away. Thanks in advance! This is a big move and i need to do something like this while i can! :)
