Birmingham England or Birmingham Alabama lol [emoji12] you need to contact the NMBI and ask for an application pack to register over here. Job wise, we are in a huge nursing shortage and you would be most welcome! Contact CPL agency or Nurse On Call, they are both recruiting nurses from overseas for ireland. There is also a regular Health Sector Expo touring the UK (I can't remember the name offhand but Google might help lol) and they are doing on the spot interviews for Ireland and will help with registration. If you want to move to Dublin, I would recommend the Mater Private. It has a large oncology department and they frequently recruit from the UK, and have a very attractive relocation package including accommodation and pay up front. Have a look at their website and contact them with any queries. Good luck to you [emoji256][emoji256][emoji256]
Half of my unit is Uk trained! I don't know if any are on here though... There's a Facebook group called "nurses and midwives oppose proposed increase in NMBI retention fees" the issue has since been resolved but it's now a forum for Irish nurses to discuss all sorts lol. Ask to join it and put a similar post up, someone should pm you there...
You need to contact the Irish board or NMBI
NMBI - Overseas nurses & midwives who want to practise in Ireland: NMBI
Once you register, you can look at jobs by trying various recruitment agencies such as CPL or TTM (google them) but they won't help you until you have your registration here. Hth
Hello
As Irishicugal posted, you will have to register with NMBI:
NMBI - Overseas nurses & midwives who want to practise in Ireland: NMBI
and obtain your license to practice before any hospital will consider granting you an interview.
You may want to consider the Coombe

The Coombe is a maternity hospital. It has very few general nurses, except for in the NICU. The majority of staff are nurse/midwives.
Oops, just saw pp was looking for NICU lol. There are 3 maternity hospitals in Dublin, the Coombe, the Rotunda and Holles St. The two paediatric hospitals Temple St and Crumlin also have NICU departments, which are the national referral centres for the sickest babies in the country.

Hello all,
I have recently returned from Dublin following an amazing week. The atmosphere, people and country have a piece of my heart and now I have decided that as part of some much needed experience I am going to move to Dublin towards the end of this year. I am currently an RN on an oncology ward in Birmingham and have been qualified 6 months, at the time of moving this will have been a year.
Would anybody be able to give me some information or tips on what I would need to do before moving out there. This will be my first big foray with international nursing (although some may say just a skip across the pond haha) and I would greatly appreciate some help in this/
