MOVING! Best place to live with family RN Job

Hey y'all :)

I am Southern CA girl wanting to get out of this state. I am an RN and I have 4 children. I am wanting to move to Texas and I need your help suggesting safe cities with great schools. My husband and I like to eat at decent restaurants, I prefer newer homes and charming cities. I am not looking for a BIG or small city. I want something in the middle that will allow us to shop, see movies, bookstores, Costco's, Targets, etc. We are very active and love the outdoors. Where would you suggest we move? I would have to live somewhere near a hospital to work and I HATE commuting, so I'd prefer no more than a 20 minute drive to and from work. I read that The Woodlands, Pearland, Spring Valley Village, Greatwood, Coppell are all highly rated, but of course I do not know if any of these have decent hospitals that pay well near them. I am not sure if I am seeking something impossible, but I believe it's out there! Please let me know your suggestions as I am clueless and am relying on you to lead the way!

In many cities in Texas (Dallas, Houston) it's nearly impossible to find a job without a BSN.

I have a BSN, just haven't updated it, but thanks!

not in Texas but OKC, OK.

Hi- Any progress with your decisions? Look at the Texas Medical Center in Houston- full of hospitals. Houston Methodist in the Woodlands- they have virtual nurse career fairs routinely. The Woodlands is master planned community very family oriented.

There are so many good family towns in Texas.Good Luck.
