I am a British citizen returning to the UK to live, with a New Zealand Bachelor Degree in Nursing (3 yrs full time study-completed Nov 2012) and am currently registered to practice in New Zealand (registered Dec 2012).
I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who can give me advice regarding getting registration for the UK/ good areas for jobs/ and how difficult it is to gain employment as a new graduate in the UK currently?
Cheers!

You'd first need to register with the NMC, and as you have trained overseas will need to undertake the overseas nurses program

Jobs are not easy to find, our newly qualified nurses are struggling to get jobs. There are hospitals being sold off to private companies and lots of budget cuts all over the country at the moment.

Earlier this year I was looking for opportunities as a nurse in the UK... The only job advertisemnts I came across were those for nurses in the mental health care area. The other specialties seemed to be saturated.
I wish you success! :)
