Mountain View Fall 2018 Hopefuls

Published

Hello Everyone!! I am excited about applying for Fall 2018 admission at Mountain View program! I am worrying about my points that I will apply with? Does anyone know the lowest amount of points they accept. I look forward to talking to everyone!

I don't think they have a set date yet, but last year it was in October

Hey guys! So I went up to MVC yesterday and turned in my application. The waiting game is officially on! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I applied with 20 points, so hopefully I get called back for an interview at least. I also spoke to Mrs. Self-Drake and she told me to keep checking my email. April 9-26, 50 students will be selected for an interview and professional writing sample (essay). May 2 is the day we are notified if we got into the program or not. Only 40 students are accepted, so keep your fingers crossed guys!

I wonder how many applicants there are so far?

Are those scores for your hesi exam per subject? UTA's accelerated program is really hard. Everything is literally online, except for the clinicals, and you are teaching yourself. Lots and lots of online assignments too. It's very time consuming. But I think if you want it enough, you'll be able to do it.

Yes they were per subject. My cumulative is a 90. I heard its hard but I think nursing school is hard in general. It would be hard to drive back and forth from UTA since I live in Irving. I was told it is 2 clinicals a week, 12 hrs each.

I will have 13 points as well. I guess it just doesn't hurt to try. We will find out in the end. I am currently taking pathophysiology and pharmacology. If I don't get accepted, I can reapply in the fall with more points.

I will look into those schools. I think I am missing micro as a pre req for TCC. I am currently taking it. I do regret focusing on one school. I learned my lesson. :(

I have no idea how many applicants there is already. I wonder if they will tell us if we ask lol.

@mayraoohlala yeah girl, don't ever put your eggs all in one basket. Keep your options open. And good thing MVC offer the program Fall and Spring now. The UTA accelerated program is very intense. 2 clinical days and an exam every week.

Hopefully there aren't too many applicants so we can all get in!!

I'll try to ask when I drop off my application tomorrow or Friday. I hope they accept more applicants this semester. They know El centro did a last minute change. They are probably expecting more applicants this semester. That's why UTA is my second or third choose as a school. I wouldn't mind getting a bachelors instead of an associates though.

Hello. I hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you see that MVC offers the ADN program in the fall and spring now? On the MVC website, doesn't it say its only offered in the fall?

Thank you! I'm currently studying to take the College Algebra CLEP exam since its the last pre-requisite course I need to apply.

I spoke in person with the nursing coordinator and that's what she told me.

That'll be awesome! Let us know please :) yes it's nicer to get your bachelor first. Either way I'm still bridging over to get my bachelor, but getting in the adn program is much easier and faster. Getting into a university to bridge over is no problem at all. It's not competitive because not many people apply. You just basically get in when you apply.
