Hello Everyone!! I am excited about applying for Fall 2018 admission at Mountain View program! I am worrying about my points that I will apply with? Does anyone know the lowest amount of points they accept. I look forward to talking to everyone!

Hello i know this forum is a litte old but i wanted to know what classes and grades did you take before applying to MVC?
I took all the prereqs. The only one i have yet to take is Microbiology but I have until Sumer 2019 to take it. I also took pathophysiology and pharmacology for extra points. I had a 3.0 GPA for my pre reqs. I got a 90 on my HESI. If you have the opportunity, take patho and pharmacology. It will be required for the program anyway once you get accepted so it's best to get it out of the way.

How do you enjoy the program? Do you have any tips on what I can study ahead of time? Is there anything you struggled with? Any tips on how to really study pharmacology? Congrats on making it to second semester, that's so exciting!!!

I love the program, I am so glad that I chose to go here over any other school. I would suggest studying lab values, the nursing process, Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and watch various nursing school videos on youtube. Many people struggle adapting to answering nursing questions because they are so different from any other tests that you may have taken. So try to watch "how to answer questions in nursing school" videos. For pharmacology I really recommend flash cards, and try to remember the general endings of the drugs for each class, for example a lot of antibiotics end in -mycin, and also focus on the patient education for medications because that is something that you will need throughout nursing school and your career. I hope this helped! Feel free to ask me any other questions, we are all about helping each other out here at MVC! And good luck to you ?

It is insurance for students. It was recommended to me by Dean Ruth Schultz. It is basically $45 ish per month for a 3 month contract. Just keep renewing every time your insurance is up. It is very minimal coverage but it covers the insurance requirements needed for the program.
