Published

Hello Everyone!! I am excited about applying for Fall 2018 admission at Mountain View program! I am worrying about my points that I will apply with? Does anyone know the lowest amount of points they accept. I look forward to talking to everyone!

Sweet!

I think it was made incorrectly. Try making a group instead of a page.

Hello everyone! I have a question... I'm currently starting to take my pre-reqs for the nursing program (mvc) but I'm a bit confused as to how that works... I see about 6 pre-reqs that I need to take, is that all of the classes I need in order to apply for the program? Or is it those 6 classes plus more? I'm confused on how the point system works.

Thanks for any feed back I get!

The basic pre requisites are algebra, English, psych, and ANP1. Then the main support courses are ANP2 and micro. Patho and pharm are not required but can help you point wise.

Your program of study should be Associates in science. From there you will take the classes required to complete the degree while also simultaneously taking classes for the Mountain View nursing program. If the program ask for psychology for example you would have to include that into your degree program. The program will let you chose between science courses. Same with math etc. This is what I did. I took additional courses required for a bachelors in nursing for UTA so that when I do an RN-BSN, I'll be able quickly complete the program. An advisor will help you. Don't be shy to ask for help .

I got accepted guys!!!

Hello i know this forum is a litte old but i wanted to know what classes and grades did you take before applying to MVC?

Hello, I'm trying to apply to the nursing program but I don't have insurance, did you end up getting the short term insurance? I been trying to contact Dr. Drake but she doesn't answer either. There is an insurance recommendation in the MVC website, the first choice(short term insurance) is that the one she recommended?

Yes, short term insurance.

I know this is old, but I'm currently applying for the spring 2019 program, and I'm super nervous! Reading through this post and reading how hopeful and positive you were to get in, has given me a lot of hope! I only have 15 points with a 3.77 GPA, I'm praying I end up with a success story like yours! I hope you're doing well and hope to see you around campus! Congratulations!! And to everyone! CONGRATULATIONS!

Was CPR certification necessary to have for the application? was the complete vaccine record needed to submit the application or could it be submitted after getting accepted?

It was part of the requirements to have in order to submit your application. After acceptance they still ask for a copy of your immunization records along with the flu shot. The flu shot and TB vaccine/test aren't required until after acceptance. I did it prior to acceptance for spring 2019. Idk if things have changed for spring 2019 and 2018?
