Hi all! Haven't seen one for Spring application yet and I have some questions so I thought I'd start this!
It says on the app that we need closed transcripts from all previous schools. What if we have one on file with admissions, does this count? Only one of my classes is from an out of state school and on econnect it shows transfer equivalent. I have an email in to Self-Drake asking but thought maybe someone would know sooner. TIA!
I read it completely wrong, their website said it is a candidate for accreditation for (ACEN).. I didn't see on the actual DCCCD website that it was accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on College. My apologies!
check the Texas BON . It gives you a list of schools that is accredited by the Texas BON and schools that are nationally accredited by the nursing organization. The school is TX BON approved but it has not been nationally recognized yet. They are a candidate. We'll still be eligible to sit for NCLEX, but it may be hard to pursue a BSN ...
Hello everyone! I also applied for Spring 2019! I'm also very anxious to hear from them, since I applied with low points (12) I wish I could add my A&P 2 but I'm taking that now. I remain hopeful since I read not many ppl applied this semester and Pray to God i get a spot. Anyway good luck to everyone this week!
Hhmm, in the video presentation they made us watch, mentions that they have a sort of bridge program with UTA for RN-BSN. Hopefully that is true, because I also want the BSN.
Yea I saw that too! I checked UTA's requirements and it's says we'll have to submit a syllabus and request a course evaluation, if the courses transfer exactly then we are ok, and TWU said the same on their website. So we should be ok. I went back and reviewed the website.. those are the two schools that will accept NON ACEN graduates that I could find. I wasn't trying to scare or discourage anyone.. I thought everyone knew . Either way, we can still sit for NCLEX and should be fine getting into UTA or TWU !
Is it concurrent like Brookhaven's? When I looked I didn't see them on the list to do your bachelors at the same time as your associates as Brookhaven's and I believe El Centro. They have an articulation agreement to do that. I believe from what I saw you had to submit a syllabus and course evaluation as well. I might be jumping the gun.. just wanted to see if anyone heard anything about having issues applying for the BSN.. all the reviews I've read seemed like it was impossible to .. I wanted to know if it was really that big of a deal..

I'm praying that I get accepted or at least an interview.. but I'm starting to scare myself.. the school isn't accredited and I plan on applying to a RN-BSN program as soon as I graduate, my ultimate goal is to obtain an MSN as fast as possible... how hard do you think it will be to get into an RN-BSN program coming from a school that isn't nationally acreddited
I'm super worried! Every school I've looked up for the most part require your ADN to be completed by a national accredited school....
