Mountain View College Nursing Fall '17

Published

Hello everyone!

Just trying to see if there's anyone out there applying to Mountain View College (Dallas, TX) nursing program and if so have you gotten an email back for an interview?! I did, and I'm a little nervous! I hope I get in. I've been trying for years now to get on the nursing track and I finally feel like I may finally have a real shot! Good luck to all you nursing majors out there!

I go for my interview Wednesday, guys! I'll keep you updated! I hope to see many more prospects come to this blog.

How did your Interview go? What was it like?? 0_0

Hey! I felt good about it! Not too sure whether they liked the fact that I'll be working part time in the program, though. Other nursing students were telling me they prefer PRN. And I get that, but I have a 7month old and I pay my own bills. So I can't go PRN. I honestly wouldn't mind it, (b/c I can choose my own days) but I have to stay PT if I want to keep my health insurance and I have to have it for the program. I honestly feel if I didn't get chosen, that could be one of or the only reason why.

Hello everyone,

I also applied, I interviewed the 18th. I felt good about it also, just the essay I am not good at essays, but I wish every one good luck! Keep us post it about the acceptance.

Hello eavalos! Best of luck to you! Did they tell you we should know something by the 5th or 9th? The website shows 5th but after my interview I believe she told me the 9th

Thank You! Same to you!

At the interview they said the 9th and just to keep an eye on my email, so hopefully we can hear from them soon.

Did anybody register for Pharmacology and Pathos summer classes?

Eavalos, I recently took the pharmacology class during the winter term. It was fairly easy, I received a B. Although, if you take it in the fall, I'm sure you'll see more course load than I did. For pathophysiology, I took it this semester with Dean Ruth Schultz herself, and she's most definitely one the best college teachers I've ever had. She truly cares. Take it from someone who KNOWS. I failed the first few exams due to just not being focused because Of things going on at home. She emailed me and asked what was going on and her reply back was so touching. I was honestly close to dropping her class because of everything I was dealing with, and with her reassuring words I decided to stay in and well I've passed every exam since! Her course load consists of weekly discussion boards, 1 initial posting and 2 responses, and then weekly tests until the end then it's spaced out. Overall a phenomenal woman. I'd recommend her to anyone.

Have taken both pharm and patho offered at MVC online last fall. As stated by Didi, they both involve weekly discussion board posts, replies to other classmates, and weekly tests. As long as you do the readings and review the study guides provided, you should be good!

Thank you ladies for the insight!!

Hello everyone!

I really hope we get an email before the 9th! I also applied to El Centro program, and I just received my acceptance letter today. But I would like mountain view better since it's closer to home! Good luck to everyone!

Congrats on the acceptance! I'm nervous awaiting MVC. That's the only one I applied to for the fall as the other programs of interest required a different entrance exam in which was too late to take by the time I checked back with them. So hopefully MVC accepts me. Hope to see you in MVC! Im sure you were accepted to Both. Good luck, Hun!

I got in to my top choice school (TCC) good luck on the journey guys!
