Hello everyone!
Just trying to see if there's anyone out there applying to Mountain View College (Dallas, TX) nursing program and if so have you gotten an email back for an interview?! I did, and I'm a little nervous! I hope I get in. I've been trying for years now to get on the nursing track and I finally feel like I may finally have a real shot! Good luck to all you nursing majors out there!
Hello didi.ricks. I have a question for you.
I live in California and looking at this school because I'm planning to move to Dallas/Plano area. I'm currently an LVN and i just wanted to know, first: what times do classes start and end and how is the workload relative to working PRN/partime and staying on top of classes? Thank YOU in adnvace.
Hello, Meganbanks16
I wouldn't necessarily say there is a satisfactory score. It really is case by case in my opinion, that is. I went in with (what I thought) not so many points. But I must've did great on my interview because I was granted acceptance. Now, I did however get placed on their waitlist at first but spots opened up and I was granted entrance into the program. Hope this helps! I apologize for the late reply. I've been quite busy with life lately.
Just to try and answer some of the questions I missed out on..
YES, all immunizations are required.
There aren't really a bad or good amount of points. In my opinion, it was more case by case basis.
I apologize for the late replies. I had quite a lot going on last semester and put this blog in the back of my mind.
I DID get accepted. Unfortunately, I did have to take this Spring semester off due to unforeseen reasons. My mom became deathly ill in November due to a septic shock and it took wayyy too much of a toll on me. I later found out I was expecting my second child, I felt taking off a semester was what I needed. And I am glad I did. I am hoping to jump back in by next Spring semester. So although I'll be behind my original cohort, my end goal is definitely staying the same. SAVE AS MUCH MONEY as possible if you're like me and living outside of your parents home and responsible for your own bills. Working is POSSIBLE, no matter what anybody says. I've seen it happen. HOWEVER, I will say TIME MANAGEMENT IS EVERYTHING! Especially if you have a family at home. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY.. But please do take a breather and every now again HAVE A LITTLE BREAK! YOU. WILL. NEED. IT! Good luck to everyone out there and I hope to be joining back in with you all soon! Again, all, I apologize for the late replies, I am honestly just now reconnecting on this site since last year sometime. BEST WISHES TO ALL! (:
Can anybody attending TCC or MVC give me their opinion on each of these programs such as how do they like the professors, any issues surrounding clinicals, etc? I'm trying to decide between these two. Also, what seems to be the problem with getting thru TBON? I've noticed several comments about people getting formally accepted to programs that might not make it thru TBON.
