Hi there, Trying to reapply to Mountain View for the fall 2019. I got denied for the spring. I do not give up that easy so i am trying my luck once more.Hopefully they will consider me the second time.I will schedule an appointment with the admin to know where i went wrong. I decided to start a thread this early so we can help one another and finally share a classroom together.
This time I am applying to as many schools as possible.
So the NCTC requires teas, anyone done the test? I need tips.
My first attempt I bombed it like I did TERRIBLE! Look over the Ezelvier Hesi book. That helped me tremendously. You will do great next semester.

(100-Ap/92-Math/vocab-82/grammar-76)The first time I made an 80 but this last time I broke down. But they do go off the Hesi. When SD was speaking with me she showed me a big list with all the applicants and had stars on the names that failed the Hesi requirements. They also go by your GPA. those are the 2 main things she mention to me.

Now you know what is missing and you will get it no doubt. So I would start off with a easy section first to wake your brain up. Then if reading is the worse for you do that and get it out the way. You got this!

You got this I barely passed my reading too I was so tired at the end I was happy that I made a 76 on it the rest of subjects I did well on. Retake the hesi you got this

100 in A&P?? That’s awesome! I was praising the Lord when I got an 88 in that topic!
So I made an 87 on the hesi, but I think I got either 11 or 12 points. Should I go up there and talk to them?
I think you should. She informed me they have no control of the wait list or denial list but she should have it this week. She wasn't able to confirm that I was accepted by the denial list but she showed me the applicant list and assured me that my Hesi did not meet the requirements and more likely I was denied.
I don’t know if this will help anyone thinking abou next semester but I applied with 13 points, made a 92 on my HESI and I had a 2.9 pre req gpa whenever i applied and a I got an interview this Wednesday. When I turned in my application I included my resume and a copy of my CNA certification. I don’t know if those two helped in any way but I thought I would include it. I thought they wouldn’t even look at my application with low points and gpa but I tried anyways. I also made sure every detail in my application was correct and complete including the paper we have to sign after watching the nursing info session (almost missed it). I think what helped me most was studying hard core for the HESI and having some sort of job experience.
So I spoke to the coordinator SD and due to not have a 75 on the Reading section I was not accepted. She apologize for the errored email. She told me I had 20 points total. I asked about how many applicants they were interviewing for the spring and she said"80" and they will accept 60! Also she stated they are done sending out interview acceptance email since Friday and only confirmation emails/calls should be going out Now. She also stated every year the number of applicants is increasing. I hope this info helps everyone! I will be rrtaking my Hesi and applying for Spring 2020. @Nikkiguz19 have you tried using the Facebook group "Online HESI A2 Study Group"? That helped me tremendously. I've taken that thing 5 times!!! But this last time was the best one.

I took it two weeks prior and I had an 86 overall (74 on math). I used those files from that study group and it was a LIFESAVER!!! If you haven't used that group, GO USE IT!!! I promise you will pass with a better score. Also, there's a video I made on how to find what questions you missed in your HESI Elsevier portal.
