Mount St Mary's University ABSN Summer 2016

Hello All!

I applied to the ABSN program for summer 2016 admission and I haven't seen any thread yet so I'm hoping that we can use this one to support one another. I know that they've extended the deadline to 1 Nov due to some technical issues and they want to give other applicants a fair chance, but I don't know when the MSMU will start contacting individuals for math exam and interviews.

If there are kind souls (previous/current students/applicants) lurking in this thread, kindly give us some ideas and/or advise on how we can become stronger applicants, aced the interview, good place to live closer to the university, selling used books, etc.

Hi Whisper28 and everyone else! The exam was pretty easy, just the stress of a 100% is unsettling. I took it out of state so I didn't get a whole lot of information. How did you receive your score, email?

I received an invitation for an interview! Did anyone else?? I'm sooo relieved/happy but so nervous now!

Does anyone know how many applicants they will be interviewing and how many of those will be accepted? What are our chances of acceptance if we interview?

They asked us to choose a date and I chose the latest one in the range, 1/13. Since I have to travel there (I'm from NorCal). I'll keep you guys updated :)

Do you know what to expect for the interview? I'm not sure what I should do to prep!!

Hello LBrown1212! sorry for the late response...I missed it by 1 point and it's one of those questions where I should follow my instinct LOL, I got confused so I changed my first answer...*sigh* never learn my lesson LOL...but all is good since they said that we shouldn't worry since they'll still accept applicants who didn't get 100%

Hello @whimsicality! I actually have no idea what kind of questions they're going to ask. I even checked the previous posts but they didn't really mention anything about it. Maybe, just a suggestion, review your essay and just be yourself, and be confident! take a deep breath and smile ^_^
