Mount St. Mary's Fall 2014 ADN

Published

Hi, did anyone get their acceptance letters or interviews already for msmc?

As well as Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and California Board of Registered Nursing. Thats what I read.

Hello :) I too was accepted to the ADN program! I'm quite excited! As for the accreditation we are ok right? I think it means we can't work Magnet ranked hospitals, but everywhere else is ok. And for Magnet hospitals we have to have a BSN anyway. Are any of you doing the ADN and then the bridge of ADN-BSN at the Mount?

FutureRNSteph87: I do plan on doing the ADN -BSN route at MSMC! That is of course once I finish my pre-nursing requirements! :)

Have any of you committed to MSMC?

Good luck to you all on your journey! I will not be attending MSMC for the adn program. I decided to move to the I.E and go to Cal Baptist University! Very excited!! Right now I am completing all the requirements before I attend orientation to sign up for classes and what not.

The reason I asked about MSMC accreditation was because they are not accredited by ACEN. But that was all girlies! Thank you! Have a great summer and great upcoming semester!

Yay! Congrats on your new journey. :)

Too bad that there are only two baccalaureate programs in California that are accredited by the ACEN. One in Angwin, and the other Rohnert Park. So finding one in Los Angeles makes it that much difficult. Im fine with the accrediations MSMC has!

Good luck, and nurse on! :)

Your absolutely right for accepting msmc accreditation for what it is. Acen is mainly the associate body listing w the exception of those two. If you look on the ccne you'll see the listing of all of the baccalaureate degree programs. It all boils down to what you plan on doing with your degree. Like my mama always said there's more than one way to skin a cat :) thanks dear. Keep in touch!

does anyone know how good is the TEAS V exam for the mount. i got accepted as a pre-nursing student because I am missing Chemistry but i took my TEAS last december. I hope i dont have to re take it again.

I have also decided not to attend MSMC. Good Luck to everyone!!! I did meet with an advisor and the lenght of time will not work for me. Also did not qualify for any fianancial aid and they wanted me to pay monthly wich was alot and i could not do it. I am waitng to hear from PCC and i am also #6 on the waitlist for Antelope Valley college so i can wait a couple more months. Again good luck to all!!!

Hi Hun. I had a question. I am in community college hoping to get into the bsn program at msmc next year. I am curious to know if I get my bsn at msmc will I be able to transfer my degree to a cal state or a UC for a masters degree. I was originally planning to attend west coast academy but learned I can not transfer anything out of that school. Thank you for reading my comment.

Mount St Marys is WASC accredited and so is West Coast. West coast just got their accreditation I believe 2 years ago. WASC accreditation is the top notch accreditation a school can get. They are both transferable cost wise I would rather attend MSMC
