[COLOR=#000000]Hello everyone, I am a new grad RN and have a phone screen with a nursing recruiter at Mount Sinai. I was wondering if anyone has any info, tips, or advice on the questions they ask during the phone screen and/or general interview. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Just want to make sure I am as prepared as possible!
Thanks!

Hey, how did you find the job? Do you have experience working in a hospital or what? i am new graduate of may 2015 and desperately looking for a job. Any help is much appreciated. thank you.
I applied online, through the career section of the website. No, I am a new grad and don't have any clinical experience. However, I would definitely recommend that if you know anyone that works in a hospital that you reach out to them. It's difficult to get a job in NYC hospitals if you don't know someone.

@jrnewgradRN how was your phone interview? What type of questions were you asked? I am a relatively new nurse and have a phone interview scheduled for this coming week. Any info you could offer would be greatly appreciated!!

I had a phone interview with one of the recruiters few months ago. Wasn't a fun experience at all. I thought the recruiter was rude. I got more nervous and she became more and more rude with me. I forgot her name. They ask you general questions like your experience, which Mount Sinai campus and unit you prefer to work in, etc. etc.

What is there ICU patient ratio?
Should be 1:2, sometimes 1:1 depending on what's going on (Balloon pump, CVVH, etc.)
