Hey Everyone,
I thought I would start a page for the fall 2019 cohort Mount Sinai. Looking forward to hearing all your thoughts. I applied just recently. I’m waiting to hear back. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Best,

I also got accepted to Fall 2019. I’m hoping to find out more about the experiences from ppl who already took the program. Trying to decide between this program and another. Were there any particular reasons you guys chose this program?
Hi,
Congrats! I am also trying to look for others that completed the program as well. I have been able to find a student in the summer 2019 cohort, the semester ahead of us. That’s the best information I have for now.
I chose the program due to its hybrid curriculum and tuition price. I like the in person and online mixture of the program. It’s not going to only be in person. But also tuition is decent compared to other nursing schools around the city for an accelerated BSN.
Side note: My former elementary music teacher was also a Mount Sinai nursing student. He loved it and spoke very highly of the program. So it also convinced me to settle for here as well.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply. Those are good points to consider. Congrats to you as well getting into the program! I tried looking for the ABSN program tuition but it was difficult. I got an estimate based on other programs they have. Do you know the exact tuition amount?
thanks in advance.

Hi,
Mount Sinai has the tuition online for the summer 2019 cohort, which is a total of $52,970. So our cohort should be somewhere around this price too.
Here is the link with the tuition breakdown: https://www.mountsinai.org/files/MSHealth/Assets/MSBI/ABSN_TuitionFees_Summer2019.pdf

Hi! Congrats on your acceptance! I chose the program based on the fact that it is hybrid, only 15 months and lower tuition as opposed to other ABSN programs. Other programs I applied to were at least 10 thousand dollars more and didn't offer scholarships because it is a second degree program. Also, everyone who I spoke to that ever went to PBISON or worked at Mount Sinai have a pride that I haven't seen with any other nursing school. Also, the fact that PBISON is affiliated with the entire mount sinai heathcare system is a big plus for me because it is much easier to metwork for a job after graduation.
Hope this helps! Good luck with the decision!!

Thank you Fatima for the link. Very helpful to my decision and answered some of my pressing concerns.
Thank you Leah. Yes, those are really good points. My friends in nursing also made similar points. I am nervous about hybrid classes because online classes are not my strength. But I think PSON has many strengths and I am excited nonetheless.

How about you downsize to part time or per diem? Or just give them your work availability strictly (I.e., work 1 or 2 weekends a month)
