Hey everyone! So I have applied for the fall 2013 semester and was hoping to get in contact with some other hopefuls.... I'm sure we are all feeling the anxiety as the application deadline nears!! I was wondering if anyone would share their gpa and HESI scores... My gpa is only a 3.2 and I got a 92 on my HESI for MTSU and take my test for motlow next month... I look forward to hearing from everyone and good luck!!!
I wonder which equipment is actually required for the program. And I have a stethoscope but I hear littman's are really good... But the other one may get me through school for now...
Well, I really don't know, but I would assume that whatever is availed at the orientation would be suitable/accepted w/ the program.
It's actually more expensive to buy the stuff at orientation than just buying from amazon or somewhere else. I think they capitalize on the excitement of it all. The basic littmans are plenty good enough. They don't care which brand or where you get your stuff, as long as your shoes are white, you're good :) It's nice to look at the stethoscopes in person, then google what you like; you can even do it there on the spot to see if you are getting a good deal.
You need a stethoscope, pen light (with pupil diameter guide), goggles, and it's nice to have your own blood pressure cuff to practice at home. Nothing else is really needed; I think scissors were on the list, but I never used mine the first time, nor does anyone look to see what you have...

Did you buy any of the recommended books when you started or just the required ones?

No problem. I'm probably not going to bug her right now about it but I will definitely find out and post it when I do!
