Motlow fall 2013

U.S.A. Tennessee

Hey everyone! So I have applied for the fall 2013 semester and was hoping to get in contact with some other hopefuls.... I'm sure we are all feeling the anxiety as the application deadline nears!! I was wondering if anyone would share their gpa and HESI scores... My gpa is only a 3.2 and I got a 92 on my HESI for MTSU and take my test for motlow next month... I look forward to hearing from everyone and good luck!!!

I got accepted into the fall program too! I was happy to see this board about Motlow on here! I will be at Moore County.

Oh no! I really wanted a packet! Is anyone else taking Dosage Calculations in the Summer? I am thinking about it...

I wanted to take it during the summer but I have to wait until fall... I won't have a sitter for my son :(

I signed up to take it in the summer. It's at Moore Co., though, & it's really going to affect work. I'm not 100% sure yet that I'm definitely taking it. I probably will because that will be one less class out of the way. I'll be at the Smyrna campus for nursing school in the fall.

I was really wanting a packet, too! I like to plan things in advance, and I'm considering getting a 2nd job this summer, so it's even more important that I know as soon as possible what I need to be doing between now and fall. I'm sooooo excited!

The good thing is its only MW 9-10:30! So it won't be too bad, but driving from Smyrna will definitely be a challenge! I am trying to find a job for the summer too. I just got my CNA so I want some health care experience. And that way I can work though school. Are you going to keep your jobs during school?

I'm in Smyrna. I actually drove to McMinnville to take A&P I & A&P II...I'm not too worried about the drive, BUT it's going to mean I'm going to miss a half of a day's work on each day the class meets. I wish they were offering it at the Smyrna campus. I will have to work SOMEWHERE, but not where I work now. I'd like to test for the CNA as soon as possible once I start school this fall. I'm hoping that by having all co-reqs. (Except Micro.) completed that it will be helpful to me. I'm so excited and this fall can't get here soon enough!!! :)

Yeah I have all my prereqs so I can just focus on the nursing classes. Although I don't know what that will do to my financial aid if I am not full time. I am already having trouble with it as it is. Because federal aid sees that you are going back to community college ( I already got my AS ) and doesn't want to give you money. So I am having to appeal it. Big pain! Hopefully it will all work out. I will find some way to make it work! I can't wait for orientation!!! I think it's like an all day thing isn't it? I wish they would send that packet because I feel like I don't know what is going on haha!

I'm glad to hear about so many getting accepted! I hope you guys all the best. Motlow's nursing program isn't a walk in the park but it's very rewarding.

My Assoc. Degree is in legal assisting. Unfortunately, very few of my classes were able to be used in the nursing curriculum.

Yes, orientation is all day; it's from 8:30-4:30. It's just now sinking in that I start nursing school...in just a few months! I'm so excited...and scared at the same time. :)

Thank you! I'm ready for the challenge and I don't expect an easy two years; I'm prepared to work harder than I've ever worked in my life. :)

I was also told we wouldn't be getting a packet until orientation day but they will be sending out reminder emails about the orientation. The books are up on the bookstore website now for anyone interested in getting a head start on purchasing them. I know there are five required but there are a lot of recommended books that idk if I should spend the money on. I'm going to ask someone that I know who is already in the program to see if she got any of the recommended books.

If you wouldn't mind to share what he/she says it would be appreciated! :)
