Most comfortable shoes?

Nurses Uniform/Gear

I'll be starting my first nursing job in a couple weeks on a med-surg floor. I had a couple pairs of dansko shoes in nursing school, but they hurt my feet so I switched to sneakers. Any advice on comfy sneakers?

Asking someone "Which sneakers are most comfy?" is akin to asking "Which is better: a cheeseburger, chef salad or burrito?" Hence, it is all about personal preference.

I personally like my New Balance 890 running shoes. I've also had decent luck with Nike Reax.

I am in the same boat as you. I have always used sneakers in my clinicals but I am thinking of using something on the line of Clogs. Why? Because if you get feces, blood, urine or other drainage on your lace up shoes, how do you clean them? With no lace shoes, you can clean them up pretty well, laces.....not so easy.

I just started working 12's on an ICU floor. Everybody online SWORE by Danskos. So, I went out and spent 130.00 on a brand new, spill-resistant pair. I wore them for an 8 hour training shift yesterday, and by about hour 5, I was almost in tears in pain!! My pinky toes were swollen with blisters and my arch felt... Broken. I was told by a couple of friends, You have to wear them in! Well, I don't know about you, but I do not have time to be in cry-worthy pain in ICU. So, I'm selling them on eBay.

That being said, my other 8 hour training shifts have been done in my Skechers GoWalk, and everyday I've come home telling my boyfriend how it feels like I have been walking on clouds all day and how I never knew shoes could be comfortable and not hurt at all.

I will forever and ever be sticking with my Skechers Go Walk!

Also, just bought Skechers Memory Foam and they're just as amazing!:)
