Morgellons Disease-what is it?

A friend asked about this on another discussion board. Have you heard about it? Scientists say there is no DNA associated with it. Some say it's a hoax, but it's nationwide, and has spread to all 50 states. Have you any input on this?

Scientists are stumped, can't even say if it is contagious or what causes it.
