If I get into the LPN-RN program, I will have to commute 82 miles one way... is this even worth it? There is one more program a tad bit closer but hard to get into from what I hear. Debating on this commute as I am a single mom and how it will affect me. Has anyone else had to make a long commute for nursing school??

Hello, did you end up going to fort morgan for LPN-ADN program? Was it hard to get in? How was your GPA and all? If you could private message me that would be great! Hope to hear from you soon!

I am waiting now to see if I got in or not. They are suppose to let us know by next week! I will keep you posted! My GPA is good however they give more points to get in based on if you live in the area where the school is, if you graduated with your LPN at MCC and if you have paid experience as a LPN. I did not have any of the last 3 so I am pretty sure I wont get in. But I will keep ya posted! If you talk to anyone there- talk to Gwen in the Nursing Department she is great to talk to about the program!

Ohh okay. I applied as well! My GPA is good, and I have like 6 months LPN work experience already. However, I don’t live in the area, and didn’t graduate at MCC. So, my chances are very low. ?

I think a lot of people from out of town are applying since there are no other programs around anymore for LPN-RN. I believe she said there will be 15 spots open. We should find out next week. What city do you live in? The school would be over an hour drive for me...

I live in Loveland! It's an hour drive for me as well! I really hope we'll get in!! Did she say about how many people applying for the spots? 15 is not a lot! Im getting anxiety. lol

She didn't say how many applied. She did say last fall there were 48 applicants and 12 got in. So I guess it's just a waiting game. If there are people that live there and graduated there and have a lot of LPN experience then I dont think I have a chance. But you never know ! Did you see on the email where she said we would know by may 24? That's next week so hopefully soon! It would be hard for me to make that drive being a single mom but I would do it to finish my last year ! Although my GPA is good I did horrible in one of my nursing courses and had to retake. I think that will hurt me in getting in. I had personal things that happened during that time but I can only try!

I bet if you emailed her ( like I have repeatedly) she would tell you how many. She is super sweet and usually responds by evening time..

I'll just wait for the results. I've been bugging her too much. I really hope we'll get in!!

I hope so too ! Keep me posted !

I bet it will be fairly quick if it's like last fall where she had only 48 to go through.

Where do you work as a LPN? I've been trying to find something but there are hardly any jobs here for LPNs.

I will!! I work at northshore health and rehab in Loveland! Their company name is “columbine heathcare”. They have different names of their facilities depends which city you are, but only one company. Apply! They are always hiring for LPNs!

Do you like working there? Do you think it will work with a nursing school schedule?

Today, I noticed they put the applications back up on the website?? I wonder if they didn't get enough applicants or what the deal is?? It says applications accepted until July 1st! I hope that we don't have to wait until then to find out...
