Moorpark College Nursing Program Spring 2021

Anyone having issues applying to their new online application system? When I click the nursing application link after signing into my vccd portal, it asks me to sign in with a Microsoft account and when I do it tells me I don't have permission to view the form. I called their health science department and all they told me is the link works on their end and I should keep trying. Which was not very helpful advice!

In past cycles, they called over the period of a few days. They will also continue to make calls after orientation and registration date pass and people get dropped. Just hoping for an alternate call tbh. I had 87.5 pts, so I assume it must be extra competitive this year.

Yes, I did get the call that I had been admitted into the program last Thursday. After New Student Tea on Monday, it could be that more people were dropped after that or are planning to drop. Fingers crossed for the other alternates! We still have a big checklist by 11/30 so I'm working on that.

Wow congratulations! I am alternate so I'm really hoping a space opens up. I think it will since other schools haven't sent their decisions yet.

I withdrew from Moorparks program. I got into COC so I'm going there instead. Wish you all the best! Good luck everyone ?

Just posting here for future applicants looking for information - I was finally emailed today that my application was not accepted because it was incomplete ? but doesn't state what was missing. Really annoying. I already got accepted another program but I do think it is pretty lame they don't notify the student earlier that their application was not accepted. Other schools will notify you if a transcript is missing, for example, and give you a certain period of time to appeal the error. Just a warning to future applicants!

Yes I just got the same email. It seems like an automated email. I’m going to schedule a meeting, I felt like I quadrupled checked my application so I am not sure what could be missing.

AHH so I just re-read my application email and I did not include my VCCD transcript with my application. Since the application was online this year - I didn't even think to include them in the email but it is stated clearly on the application that they need the transcript attached. I'm annoyed at my past-self haha hope you get some clarity Fabian!

I got a call a while ago and was accepted as an alternate! I am still waiting to hear from COC which is my first choice since I live in SCV. But I’m glad to have a place to go this Spring or Fall if COC doesn’t work out!
