Moorpark College ADN Spring 2024

Published

Hello all,

Starting a thread for anyone who applied to Moorpark's Spring 2024 Cohort. Based past cohort threads I am guessing we will hear back from them next week Friday (October 13th) or early the following week. Good luck everyone!

Hi! I've been following along and wanted to let everyone know that I just got a call informing me that I was accepted as an alternate with guaranteed admission for the fall. I also applied to Glendale, Pierce, and LA Valley.. so still crossing my fingers that I can start in the Spring as I don't want to wait an entire semester. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations!

My friend also got a call for an alternative. I wonder if that means they've already selected and placed all phone calls for the students who got in for Spring.

She did tell me she was in the middle of contacting the alternates when I talked to her.. which would lead me to assume that the 'for sure' acceptances have already been contacted. I could be wrong though.

I did contact Moorpark nursing to clarify, and she did say that both acceptances and alternatives are being called until the end of the week.  That gives me a little bit of hope.

hopefully she wasn't saying that just to say it!!

I called them and they called me back today. They wouldn't give me any information and just said they are making decisions. So who knows

Does anyone know if there will be any rejection letters in the mail? Or if they don't send any at all?

Yes, they will be sent within the next three weeks.

Your welcome! Same!! ??

Hi! I wanted to say that I also got a call this afternoon around 2 saying I was chosen as an alternate. Does anyone know when the email for the cohort meeting is supposed to come in, or was it supposed to be sent to me after I got the call.

I got the email this morning with the accept/decline "alternate" slip and upcoming/important dates for everything. It says the zoom link for the mandatory tea will be sent a few days before the 30th. Congrats!

Does anyone know that if we accept the alternate position does that mean we decline any other school that's coming out after the 30th?

No. They don't communicate with other programs.. for instance, I applied to Moorpark, Glendale, Pierce, and LA Valley. Moorpark would have no way of knowing I applied to those school. I accepted the alternate spot but if I discover that I was accepted to one of the other schools around November/December I'll attend one of those for the Spring semester.

Honestly, most programs know that applicants apply to multiple programs. It's too competitive to only apply to one.
