I would also agree with all the above. Take the time now to enjoy life and free time. Even though I was told that I should expect to put in 70+ hours per week once school started...I never was able to comprehend how much time a week that really is until I was in the thick of studies.
Don't get me wrong...while I say it is a huge time consumption and your life will be over as you know now...you will enjoy most every minute and the material that you will learn. I wish I knew a lot of this stuff when I was a staff nurse in the ICU but now I am 17 months away from graduation and will get to apply it to my patients in the OR.
Good luck on your journey to what will be a great job!

Hello all,
I will be starting Albany med's program this September and was wondering how many of you (if any ) prepped for classes, books to buy that really helped etc.
I know many of you suggest resting up, because when it begins there is no rest. I am just trying to get a little jump!
