Hi - I just need some words of encouragement. I'm heading into my med/surg clinical for 2 months. It is in a city that I have to take 2 flights to get to (so it's fairly far away). My only worry is leaving my kids for that long I have 3 kids (ages 13, 14 and 6). They will be home with their dad so I know they will be fine but 2 months away is a long time! Has anyone else been away from their kids for an extended period of time? Ugh, I'm starting to have panic attacks about it ...

Well, you are doing it for the kids and 2 months will rush by.

True. It will fly by and it's for a good reason. Your going to have to find ways to make the best of it. Maybe you could facetime with your kids or webcam. I'm not tech savvy so I don't know all the ways to do that stuff.

The teenagers will be perfectly fine. The 6 year old will miss mommy for a bit but I think will also be fine. You'll be fine. Enjoy this No kid time and make the best of it!

can you visit a few times? I would do it as well but I would need to go home on the weekends a few times to see my babes.
