Hello all, I have been doing some research online and have found that Carrington College in Sacramento offers an LVN TO RN program that is only 8 months. I have about half of my pre reqs done and they offer the pre reqs in the program if you have not finished them all. Has anyone been to this school for the LVN TO RN program or planning on going to this program in the near future? If so, was it worth it? How did you like it? Did you pass the NCLEX? Would you recommend it? Keep in mind that this is a private school so price is going to be elevated. Any help or info about this school would really help. Thanks!
You have to have all of your prerequisites done or you have to do their VND program which is vocational nursing degree and its 16 months long and about $30,000. I'm not sure if they have changed the requirements yet, but they were going to make it so you had to work as a lvn for 6 months prior.
I just went in to their "RN Information Session". $23,000 for all pre-requisites. Science classes held Wednesdays either 3:30-6:30 or 6:30-9:30. The other classes are online. You are limited to 7 units per term. 4 16 week terms to complete all pre-requisites. Which gives you the VN Degree. Next, the RN program itself is $36,000. RN program is 8-5, M-F. 2 16 week terms.
If you have GE classes done, they subtract roughly $400/unit for non-science classes; $800/unit for science classes.
Carrington College California -- Sacramento.
As of 5/29/2013 Information RN Session.

Did they mention a GPA requirement for the science prereqs?
3.0 for Science Pre-Reqs
I don't remember the Non-Science ones, sorry
Hi, I'm thinking of applying at Carrington college. One rep said that Its better for me to finish all the prereqs then apply for LVN to RN. Is there a waiting list? Do they accept you right away if you have 3.0 GPA? Do I wait for decision letter if I'm accepted or not?

They offer financial aid. Also, you will have some payment plan options.
