Montgomery College Spring 2016

Published

Hi-

Has anyone received an acceptance letter for the spring 2016 nursing program at Montgomery college?

Can you stop giving people the wrong info? it is not due on December 1st or 2nd. Professor Matthews literally spent an hr repeating herself telling us not to pay until jan because she does not want us to pay three times the two semester we are here.

tbh, I'm so confused with this whole background, drug & alcohol testing thing but thank you everyone for your input. I have already paid for mine. I though we pay for it now and actually do the check and testing on January. :( fml... I'm going to the nursing office today to get the chain of custody form.

Hi guys! Does anyone know what happens if your medical form is missing anything or something is wrong? We don't start clinical until a month in the semester. Would you be notified if something is wrong?

I am giving the information that the person at the front desk gave me as well as what is in the packet that was given to us. Again you can Do whenever you would like , but I am passing the information that was given to me by the office of nursing from desk assistant.

The testing itself can be done later but the receipt that you have ordered the testing has to be submitted at registration. That is he information that was given to me a star is the information that I am referring to all people who ask.

The lady at the front desk did say to keep the confirmation forms until we come for the registration day. Professor Matthews also did say to not DO it aka go to lab Corp and get the test done until January so that we don't have to repeat the process in a year. Paying for it now doesn't matter I don't think, we just don't get it done until January, and we turn it in between January 4th and 15th. But maybe the background check is different. In any case, I believe it's once every two years you need it, not every year

mooneybeee I would hope they inform us if something was wrong...I believe they would. Registration is next week and would seem to be a good time to tell us if everything is correct.

Exactly what I have been trying to convey to ppl

There is a lot of confusion about everything lol. The packet says something different then they explained about an already confusing timeline. But if anyone has called and actually spoken to someone in the nursing office and has newer, accurate information than what we all remember from orientation then feel free to update us.

Professor Matthews clearly said we do not to have to make payment for the alcohol, criminal thing until January and we can turn in the payment confirmation between Jan 4-15. Then, she will give out the LabCorp paper thing and the tests can be done somewhere in Jan. and we will have time to have things done before semester starts. I thought this is what she said and that is what it says on my paper.

Thanks for the confirmation. I figured I would err on the side of caution in case I heard incorrectly since there was conflicting information between what is on the packet and what she said. If we have to pay again, we have to pay again. No big deal.

Yeah I agree ASJ94 :D

Hi all. So I'm kinda of late to the board, but better late than never, right? lol. I did read some of you guys comments about working and going to school. Who else plans to work and attend school? For me, I have no choice but to work (it'll be part time though) and attend school. I have living expenses and other bills to pay. I'm currently working in a research facility. The job is great, but very very demanding. I don't know if I can mentally work there and study for school. Im just curious, for those of that plan to work and attend school, where do you work? Will work?

Many thanks!
