Hello everyone !! I decided to create this thread for anyone applying to Montgomery College Spring 2022 nursing program in Takoma Park, MD. Did you guys finish all your priority courses? Have you taken the TEAS? Have you already submitted your application? The deadline is August 1st and we will be receiving an answer via email sometime in September. Let's support each other through this entire journey and share our experiences.

Hello, I’m thinking of applying to MC for Spring 2023, and I was wondering if for the prior education portion do you get 3 points in addition to the other points for credit hours per semester? For example if I have 18 points from GPA, TEAS, and attempts, when calculating the prior education portion, do I add 3 points for my prior degree and then 2 points for every semester of the last 24 credit hours that I had more than 6 credits? (Or one point for if it was between 3-5) that way the points would be 18+3+1+2+2=26 I really hope some can help me understand.
Also, has anyone gotten in with a 2.5 science GPA?
Also, if you repeat a class twice will that affect how the admissions committee looks at your application?

It's an either/or situation. If you have a prior degree, you get 3 points. If you've finished some credits but not a full degree, you get the 2 or 1 points. The total amount of points you can get if you have perfect on everything is 27.
To answer your other question, if you've repeated any of the prereqs, you lose points for those categories. For example if you passed A&P1 on the first try, you get 4 points. If you retook it and passed on the second try, you lose a point for that class and only get 3 points. Hope this helped!
