Montgomery College, how long?

U.S.A. Maryland

Published

I sent in my application for the fall at Montgomery College today. The deadline is March 1st. Does anyone know about how long I can expect to wait before I get an answer?

Thx,

Nikki

As for titers, did she go to UMD because of the lack of insurance? I don't want to travel far to get them if I can just get them all done near me.

The confirmation email says 12:24-4:24 though for the CPR class. Weird time, but that is confusing.

I agree though, I wish there was more we could be getting done. I'm going to call my HC provider tomorrow and make an appointment for late June to get my health history completed. I don't know how they do that though. I've had so many different doctors throughout my life from moving around and not one of them has my "health history" except what I provide for them.

I think that was the primary reason. The cost was reasonable, around $200. I may have to go this route myself.

Thanks for the coupon link!

Why is it that they need our health history anyway?

Alright, who's buying the first round? I got in!!!! :) I'm faxing my acceptance form over to the admissions office in a few minutes. Woohooo! Let the party begin.

As my son would say, "that's fantastical!" Congratulations Marissa! So awesome that we all got in. I'm having my husband fax mine over today and I will likely snail mail it too.

Awww, that's so adorable. I'll have to start using that phrase. Too cute. I'm going to hand deliver mine as well, just in case.

When I was driving down North Capitol Street, after I got my letter, I saw a MedStar helicopter fly by and thought, "that could be me someday". I can do anything I want now. Become a flight nurse, a nurse practitioner, a CRNA...the options are endless. I'm thrilled.

It is very exhilarating to think of the possibilities. And knowing you can do it anywhere you should choose to live. I hope the jobs are there once we graduate though. I have to admit, I am still uneasy about the ADN option. Yes, I guess I am the "glass half empty" type. I am thinking I will take the other BSN reqs during the summer/winter sessions later on so I will be prepared to do the RN-BSN quickly if I can't get a job. I needs to make mes some moolah!

YAY Marissa! Congratulations!! I'm so happy we all got in!

I faxed mine a few mins ago and will send it snail mail as well.

Nikki- have you paid for the BLS class? I got email for payment.

I can totally relate to "the glass is half-empty"- have to keep telling myself POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

Kristian - I have not paid yet. Did you get an email from the instructor or just the confirmation email? I only got the confirmation.
