Montgomery College, Fall 2011, 1st semester students

Published

Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

I think you guys have NU 105 and NU 110 paired together-

They mentioned:

NU105 @10:00 pairs w/ NU110 @12:00

NU105 @1:00 pairs w/ NU110 @8:00

NU105 @2:00 pairs w/ NU110 @4:00

My clinical choices are:

#1-Wed, Suburban w/Robinson, 7a-5:10p

#2-Wed, Adventist w/Bertiz, 7a-5:10p

#3-Wed, Doctors w/Wells, 7a-5p

Classes:

NU110-Mon 8a-11:50a

NU121-Mon 3p-5:50p

I'm still working on backup plans, but I really don't want to have to take classes two days a week/clinicals.

Andrea, NU105? @ 1 on Mon.?

That may have been a typo...I'm out of the house now. I'll check when I get back.

I think NU 105 at 1 goes with NU 110 at 8am.

Yes, they go together.

Has anyone thought about getting a clipboard w/ storage?

Do any of you remember what that sheet is called from Borders that had all the quick info about nursing on it?

Yes. Some come w/ a calculator attached (may come in handy). I've been reading conflicting reviews about using a clipboard. Some say they're cumbersome and others feel they are perfect to have especially if there isn't a lot of desk space. We may not be allowed to bring one, anyway.

It's called the Sparks Chart.

Here is the clipboard that comes with the nursing kit I posted earlier:

Between that and the storage clipboard, I wonder which would be more useful? Or if they'll even let us use one?

Wow, I wish the coughing would go away. I asked DH to come home early last night to relieve me of the kids so I could rest. He didn't get home until close to 10. Go figure. So the doc didn't hear any fluid in my lungs but she suspected pneumonia was on it's way so she gave me a Z pack and also gave me an inhaler to help me breathe better. So basically she is treating what my husband had and what my youngest had. I just hope I am feeling better soon and that my oldest doesn't get sick, especially before his party on Saturday.

Andrea, I was wondering about which type of clipboard (if any) would be most useful. Hopefully we can more info at registration.

Nikki, I hope your cough gets better very soon. Wow, you guys had a lot going on in your family these past weeks. Wishing your son a fun-filled Happy Birthday!

Marissa, how are the appts lining up? Any other news?
