Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

I know! It's a good thing to have other priorities, otherwise I'd be glued to my PC!

I really need to make a list of questions to ask at Orientation in case I forget any of them! My newest one is this: a penlight with or without a pupil gauge?? I'm guessing reusable is better also? So much to consider! Lol

Oh yeah, and we should also ask about incandescent vs. LED for the penlights. Here's a link to a previous thread on that subject. Based on the responses, I think I'd opt for the incandescent...

Good questions. I haven't thought that far yet. I'm still stuck on scrubs, books, shoes... lol!

Busy little shopping bees aren't we? LOL. I'm the same way though. I got myself a couple nonfiction books to read so I wouldn't be on the computer as much during my down time. I also have my son's 6th bday party to plan.

As for the watch...are they even allowed? I thought the handbook said no jewelry except wedding bands? Is a watch not considered jewelry?

Hmmm...good point about the watch Nikki. I guess I'll have to add that to my list of questions for the orientation!

That's a good point Nikki. Hopefully, they'll consider a watch to be more of a tool rather than a piece of jewelry. It would be impractical not to be able to wear one.

Well I found the sketchers in my size on amazon w/free shipping. Debating it. I'd hate to spend the money only to find out they won't be good enough for the school. I should look at amazon's return policy to see how many days I have to make a return since the orientation is in two weeks.

I know what you mean, the costs are quickly adding up. I've been all over the internet trying to find the best deals. I did get one of the textbooks from Ebay- Fund. of Nursing for NU105 for about $23. I didn't think I'd be able to find a better price elsewhere. Hopefully the book requirement hasn't changed.

Ya, I 've seen good deals but have been hesitant to buy. Of course, by the time we do get the book list, we will all be fighting for the same bargains.

Same here; I've been so tempted to buy the great deals I'm finding, but I really want to wait to make sure I'm getting the "right" things so that I don't have to worry about returning anything and possibly not getting my money back. Can't WAIT to get some more info...

Thanks for starting this thread, Nikki. :)
